January Dining Highlights Across Caprice Holdings

January is the perfect moment to rediscover some of London’s most celebrated dining rooms, and Caprice Holdings is setting the tone with a series of exceptional set menus, late-night indulgences and standout Happy Hour offers. From Mayfair elegance to Covent Garden classics, these January highlights deliver substance, style and serious value — without compromising on experience.

34 Mayfair

Modern British cooking takes centre stage at 34 Mayfair, where a thoughtfully curated January set menu invites leisurely lunches and relaxed early evenings. Two courses are available for £29, or three for £34, offering a refined yet approachable way to experience the restaurant’s seasonal cooking.

Available all day Monday to Wednesday, from midday to 5pm Thursday and Friday, and from 5pm on Sundays, the menu showcases elegant flavours without excess. Highlights include yellowfin tuna carpaccio with passionfruit and green chilli koshu dressing, Suffolk chicken with pit-roasted leek hearts and piquillo pepper sauce, and a comforting Cox and Bramley apple pie served with vanilla ice cream, custard or clotted cream.

Bacchanalia

For something more theatrical, Bacchanalia offers a Mediterranean-inspired set menu surrounded by its signature classical opulence. Priced at £36 for two courses or £41 for three, the menu is available all day Monday to Wednesday and from midday to 4.45pm Thursday to Saturday.

The cooking leans into bold, sun-soaked flavours. Standouts include grilled Greek sausage with aubergine, peppers and tahini yoghurt, a deeply flavoured seafood ragu pasta with slow-braised octopus and squid, and a rich Bacchanalia tiramisu to finish.

Balthazar

Balthazar’s January offering is all about classic brasserie comfort with an added touch of indulgence. Its weekday set menu, priced at £24.50 for two courses or £27.50 for three — including a glass of bubbles — is available from 11am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
The menu delivers exactly what you want from a Parisian-inspired institution: smoked mackerel rillettes with rye bread, moules marinière with frites, and a perfectly executed crème brûlée.
Later in the evening, Balthazar turns up the indulgence with an irresistible late-night offer: unlimited truffle fries paired with a glass of Henriot Champagne for £17. Available Sunday to Friday from 8.30pm, it’s a decadent way to end the night.

J. Sheekey

A cornerstone of London’s seafood scene, J. Sheekey offers a refined January set menu at £32 for two courses or £38 for three, including a glass of Crémant. The menu is available from midday to 8.45pm Sunday to Wednesday, and until 4.30pm Thursday and Friday.
Signature dishes include whipped creamed salt cod with a soft poached egg, Loch Duart salmon with leeks and trout roe beurre blanc, and a rhubarb custard choux bun that strikes the perfect balance between richness and freshness.

For theatre-goers and night owls, the Post-Theatre Club Menu offers two small plates and a cocktail for £21.30, available Monday to Saturday from 9pm. Expect oysters, prawn tempura, sticky tiger prawns and salmon gravlax, paired with classic cocktails such as a Negroni, Ketel Martini or Twinkle.

Scott’s Richmond

Scott’s Richmond brings the elegance of the original to a more relaxed riverside setting, with a January set menu priced at £26 for two courses or £30 for three. Availability runs all day Monday to Wednesday, midday to 5.30pm Thursday and Friday, and early evening on Sundays.
Highlights include Roscoff onion tarte tatin with burrata and wild mushrooms, Cornish pollock with miso purée and brown butter ponzu, and a classic steamed sponge pudding with golden syrup — a quietly nostalgic finish.

Sexy Fish

Sexy Fish leans into January with energy and flair. Its Kuikku set menu, priced at £34 for two courses and including a detox shot and miso soup, is available from midday to early evening throughout the week. The menu spans ceviche, sushi, tempura and robata-style dishes, offering variety without compromise.
Later in the day, the Sundown Somewhere Happy Hour takes over the bar from 4pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday. Drinks start from £5, with cocktails, wine and lager all represented, while the food offering includes £3 oysters, tempura snacks, maki rolls and indulgent desserts.

January doesn’t need to be austere. Across Caprice Holdings, these menus prove that refined dining, generous value and a sense of occasion can coexist — making this the ideal moment to revisit some of London’s most iconic rooms, or finally book the table you’ve been meaning to try.
