MICHAEL CAINES at The Stafford is awarded its first Michelin Star, five months after opening. The prestigious recognition was revealed in the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2026 and cements MICHAEL CAINES at The Stafford among London’s most celebrated dining destinations.
Opened in September 2025, the restaurant, located in St James’s offers guests an elevated dining experience in the capital. It is housed within the distinguished The Stafford London hotel, renowned for its curated luxury and exceptional British hospitality, and marks Caines’ very first venture into the capital. MICHAEL CAINES at The Stafford works closely with trusted suppliers and producers to create menus that are both thoughtful and expressive with a focus on seasonality.
The Michelin star reflects the restaurant’s long-term commitment to craftsmanship, consistency, and hospitality at the highest level. Commenting on the award, Michael Caines MBE states: “To be awarded a Michelin star at The Stafford London is a truly special moment. It is the first in the hotel’s history, and a first for my debut London residence, making it even more meaningful. Michelin recognition is always about the collective effort — the passion, discipline, and consistency of the entire team. Thanks to James, Simon, Aubin, Alejandro, Luca, Gianluca, Nuno, and the entire team, it’s a proud moment to share. It marks the start of an incredible journey for everyone here at The Stafford London and acknowledges the time and commitment invested so far, motivating us all to keep evolving in this exciting new chapter.”

The restaurant offers a selection of seasonal menus, including breakfast, lunch, vegetarian and vegan, reflective of Caines’ distinctive ‘terroir cuisine’ with optional paired wines. Dinin gat The Stafford London is defined by Michael Caines MBE’s tasting menu featuring Caines ’signature dishes, Pan Roasted Brixham Turbot and Confit Duck & Duck Liver Terrine, alongside an elegant à la carte offering that celebrates seasonal British produce through aseries of contemporary and finely balanced dishes.
