Introducing Kiyori

The Japanese-Inspired Cocktail Bar at Aki London

Aki London, London’s contemporary Kyoto-inspired restaurant at One Cavendish Square, is proud to unveil Kiyori, its elevated new underground cocktail bar set within the former bank vaults beneath its Marylebone dining room. Now open, Kiyori introduces a sultry, late-night destination where Japanese craftsmanship, refined mixology and music converge.

Following the launch of Aki London in September 2025, Kiyori transforms a historic subterranean vault within its opulent Grade II listed building into an intimate after-dark space complete with gilded ceilings, mirrored surfaces and a dedicated dancefloor - once the building’s original bank vault. Open daily from 5:30pm until late, and until 2am on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays, the bar is set to become one of Marylebone’s most compelling new nightlife destinations, just steps from the energy of Soho and the sophistication of Mayfair.

Designed by AD100-listed designer Francis Sultana, Kiyori is filled with cinematic hues of burnished gold and deep tones of bronze, layered with low, atmospheric lighting that casts a soft, flattering glow across velvet textures and reflective surfaces. The result is a subtle yet sophisticated setting where the atmosphere shifts effortlessly from early evening intimacy to after-dark allure.

Leading guests down into the space, Aziza Kadyri’s Procession Descent tapestry creates a sense of movement, with its layered textiles exploring identity, migration and renewal. In the bathrooms, Bouke de Vries’ mosaic interventions offer a moment of discovery for guests, with ceramic fragments reassembled into intricate compositions that showcase transformation and the beauty of repair. Together, the works extend Kiyori’s atmosphere beyond design alone, grounding the room in materiality, craftsmanship and subtle storytelling.

Guests can enjoy a cocktail list inspired by craftsmanship, seasonality, and the quiet poetry of Japanese ingredients. The new Kiyori bar menu takes guests on a journey through Japan, spotlighting regional flavours and modern technique. Standouts include Fuji-San, a coconut oil washed mezcal layered with mango; Hokkaido, a tropical illusion blending pandan and coconut snow; and Sakura, a delicate mix of Roku gin, sakura vermouth and lychee finished with blossom air.

A concise selection of small plates complement the drinks offering, featuring signature flavours in line with Aki’s Kyoto-inspired culinary identity. Dishes include wagyu beef and black garlic gyoza, Fuji wagyu beef tataki, rock shrimp tempura, chicken and spring onion yakitori, and asparagus with brown butter hazelnut miso and yuzu sesame. Building on the energy that established Aki as a standout opening in September 2025, Kiyori captures the same spirit of celebration and spontaneity. On Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm to 1am, resident DJs take over the vault, transforming the space into a late-night dancefloor beneath glittering disco balls.

Designed for everything from post-work cocktails to celebratory evenings and weekend revelry, Kiyori positions itself as Marylebone’s newest go-to bar and late night destination - where world-class cocktails meet infectious music in an atmosphere that feels both transportive and distinctly London.
