Inside Jumeirah Carlton Tower’s Taste

of Capri Residency

This winter, Knightsbridge plays host to one of Europe’s most coveted dining addresses—if only for a few fleeting weeks. From 6 February to 8 March 2026, Jumeirah Carlton Tower unveils A Taste of Capri, a limited-time residency that brings the culinary soul of Capri to London through a refined five-course tasting menu inspired by the two Michelin-starred L’Olivo at Jumeirah Capri Palace.

The residency unites two culinary voices deeply connected to the Jumeirah story. Salvatore Elefante, Executive Chef at L’Olivo, joins forces with Chef André Migliaccio, Culinary Executive Director at Jumeirah, to translate the elegance and emotional depth of Capri’s gastronomy into a London setting. The result is not a replica of the island restaurant, but a thoughtful interpretation—one that respects tradition while allowing the surroundings of Knightsbridge to shape the experience.

At the heart of the menu is an uncompromising commitment to provenance. Ingredients are sourced directly from Italy, from L’Oro di Capri olive oil to sun-ripened lemons that carry the unmistakable fragrance of the Mediterranean. Each course reflects the rhythm of Capri’s culinary heritage, capturing its balance of refinement and warmth, with dishes designed to feel expressive yet precise—hallmarks of two Michelin-starred cooking.

The experience culminates with a dessert that travels directly from Capri to London. Profiteroles filled with chocolate cream and pistachio provide a final flourish, taken from L’Olivo’s own dessert repertoire and created by legendary pastry chef Pierre Hermé. It is a closing note that reinforces the residency’s sense of occasion, blending indulgence with immaculate technique.

Wine plays an equally considered role throughout the evening. In collaboration with Hedonism Wines and Laurent-Perrier, each pairing has been selected to complement the menu with clarity and balance.
The list spans expressive bottlings from Domaine de Trévallon—often described as a “wine of artists” for its deeply personal approach to Provençal winemaking—to Laurent-Perrier’s Grand Siècle, a prestige cuvée crafted from three exceptional vintages to recreate the ideal year in Champagne.

Set within a London institution that has defined Knightsbridge hospitality since 1961, A Taste of Capri feels particularly well placed. Following an extensive £100 million transformation, Jumeirah Carlton Tower offers a contemporary backdrop for this residency, pairing the polish of modern London luxury with the romance of Italian culinary tradition. The result is an experience that feels both transportive and grounded, bridging two destinations renowned for their sense of style and service.

Ultimately, A Taste of Capri is a celebration of craftsmanship, seasonality, and the art of hospitality. For London diners, it offers a rare chance to experience the finesse of Capri’s only two Michelin-starred restaurant without leaving the city—an elegant reminder that some of the most memorable journeys begin at the table.

The five-course A Taste of Capri tasting menu, including a glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne, is priced from £110, with an optional Hedonism Wines pairing available. Reservations and further details are available via Jumeirah Carlton Tower.
