The Icons, at Lunch: Nobu London Introduces New Weekday Menu



Nobu London on Old Park Lane is elevating the weekday lunch, with the launch of Nobu Signature Lunch, a new £40 set menu that brings together some of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s most iconic dishes in a format designed for the modern lunch hour.


The launch comes as lunch in London is having a moment. No longer simply a prelude to dinner or a pause between meetings, weekday lunch is being reimagined as a destination dining occasion – giving food lovers the opportunity to experience some of the capital's most iconic restaurants and signature dishes, often with greater ease than securing a coveted dinner reservation. Recent data from restaurant reservation service OpenTable found weekday lunchtime dining increased by 4% year-on-year across the UK, while diners are also spending 8% more on business lunches, reflecting a renewed appetite for meeting, entertaining and connecting around the lunch table.

As this culture continues to evolve, Nobu London is setting the pace. Its new weekday menu reflects a wider appetite for elevated midday dining, giving locals and visitors alike the chance to experience the dishes that have made Nobu globally renowned – at a more approachable price point. For those who have long wanted to dine at Nobu, it’s a chance to discover the restaurant’s most celebrated dishes in a new curated format.

    

Diners can choose from a choice of either Sashimi Three Ways – including Nobu favourites such as Yellowtail Jalapeño, Salmon New Style and Tuna Tataki – or Nobu’s Signature Sushi Selection. This is followed by a trio of iconic Nobu hot dishes: Rock Shrimp Tempura with Creamy Spicy Sauce, Black Cod Miso and Beef Tenderloin, served with Teriyaki or Anticucho sauce, alongside a side dish of either rice or spicy garlic vegetables. For pescatarians, there is the option of an additional fish dish instead of the beef tenderloin.

    

The menu arrives as Nobu London approaches its 30th anniversary. Opened in 1997, and the first Nobu outside the United States, the Mayfair address has become a fixture of London dining – known for signature dishes such as Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Jalapeño, and for a dining room that has long drawn regulars, international visitors and familiar faces from the worlds of film, fashion, sport and music. Set on one of London’s most storied streets, it remains one of the capital’s defining restaurant destinations.

 The Nobu Signature Lunch menu will be available from 12pm – 2:30pm Monday – Friday at Nobu London on Old Park Lane for £40 per person.
