Sale e Pepe unveils festive cocktail collaboration with Clym Draws and GREY GOOSE Altius across its Knightsbridge and More locations

This festive season, Sale e Pepe, the much-loved Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge, brings together its acclaimed Bar Director, Pietro Collina, Grey Goose Altius and award-winning London illustrator Clym Evernden for a limited-edition cocktail collaboration. The partnership sees Clym create an original artwork for the seasonal cocktail menu, recipe cards and a collectable coaster which will also turn into a postcard, appearing at both the Knightsbridge restaurant on Pavilion Road, and its sister site Sale e Pepe Mare at The Langham.

Known for his expressive, free-flowing ink illustrations, Clym has built a distinctive visual style that has seen him work with luxury brands and fashion houses including Hermès, Acqua di Parma and Giorgio Armani. For this festive collaboration, his design imagines an alpine landscape populated by geese, drawing on the flavours and spirit of Pietro’s winter cocktails.

Pietro Collina, of The World’s 50 Best Bars’ Viajante87 (and formerly of NoMad, Side Hustle and Eleven Madison Park) has created two serves that pair classic foundations with seasonal flavours, each built around Grey Goose Altius, the ultra-premium vodka made with the finest French ingredients including spring water from the French Alps. Inspired by this breathtaking origin, the Altius bottle captures the essence of windswept mountains, icy blue skies and soaring geese at high altitudes. Clym’s illustrations celebrate the exquisite bottle and exceptionally smooth vodka inside as well as the elevated craft of the cocktails Pietro has created. Together, they offer guests a festive experience that is as considered as it is memorable

Mulled Martini Cocktail

A warming twist on the classic cocktail, combining Grey Goose Altius, mulled vermouth, Maraschino and Douglas Fir

Peppermint Negroni

A fresh take on the Italian aperitivo staple, blending Grey Goose Altius, Campari, blanc vermouth, crème de menthe and crème de cacao, finished with a chocolate and peppermint garnish

On the cocktails, Pietro adds: “I wanted both cocktails to feel familiar first and festive second. The Mulled Martini Cocktail takes the flavours people already associate with this time of year and puts them somewhere unexpected. The Peppermint Negroni is really an after-dinner mint in a glass. It’s the drink I’d want at the end of a long lunch in December.” Clym adds: “I liked the idea of an alpine landscape that doesn’t quite exist, somewhere between a ski resort and a fairytale, with the geese as a cast of characters to play with. It’s a pleasure to make something people will actually hold while they’re having a drink. I hope a few of the coasters end up going home in coat pockets.”

Sale e Pepe has been a Knightsbridge fixture since 1974, known for its loyal following, familiar faces and classic Italian cooking. Its sister restaurant, Sale e Pepe Mare, opened at The Langham earlier this year, bringing the same hospitality to a Riviera-inspired setting centred on fresh seafood and handmade pasta. This festive season, the collaboration brings the two together.

The cocktails will be available at both restaurants from 9th November to 31st December, priced at £20 each. To book a table, visit the Sale e Pepe website.
